Objective

The students are able to guide and evaluate individual learning processes in individual and group situations. They are able to plan and execute interesting learning situations from the standpoint of learning goals, and to assess the attainment of goals. They are able of reflecting on their own activity as teachers.

Content

The basic questions of teaching planning. Guidance and assessment elements and diverse methods.

Qualifications

The students are able to examine the work of a teacher broadly, especially as concerns the music field, and to build up their own principles and conscious concepts about the teaching profession, its nature and identity. The students are capable of following their own pedagogicc field's conversation and development work.

The students are capable of evaluating, from the standpoint of diverse learning concepts, their own teaching work's pedagogic points of departure and of consciously and fundamentally building up their own teaching work's practical theory. The students use their own field's curriculum as a basis for outlining the planning and implementation or their own teaching.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students know the points of departure in teaching guidance and assessment and are able to realize their significance in their own teaching. They are capable of ethically responsible and positive interaction as concerns learning goals. They are able to evaluate realistically their activity as learning guides and to set for themselves new goals.
