Objective
Students will understand the overall concept of logistics and supply chain. Students will also learn the basics of the planning and the management of the supply chain. The different activities of logistics will be known.

Introduction to concepts of supply chain and logistics
Supply chain planning and management including
- Logistics strategy
- Resource planning
- Material flow control
- Performance measurement.
Supply chain activities like
- Procurement
- Inventory Management
- Warehousing and materials handling
-Transport.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge about own study field and business.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
- Excellent (5) requires active work as well as excellent performance in assignments and exam showing excellent learning results in the competence areas defined above.
- Good (3-4) requires good work as well as good performance in assignments and exam showing good learning results in the competence areas defined above.
- Satisfactory (1-2) requires work as well as satisfactory performance in assignments and exam showing the satisfactory learning results in the competence areas defined above.
