Materials Handling Engineering (6cr)

Objective

The students are able to choose a materials handling device with suitable operation and capacity, and to form a functioning total system by combining them. They are able to take into account and calculate the costs of the purchase and use of the system and to define the factors required by the control system.

Content

The planning of material flow, the technical choice of devices and the total system, lay-out design, and the economy of purchase and use. Laboratory work and calculation exercises.
