Objective

Purpose of the course
In the course, you acquire basic competence of the service system for vocational rehabilitation, its areas and actors, the legislation governing the activities, social security during rehabilitation and the effectiveness of rehabilitation.

Intended learning of the course
You can describe what vocational rehabilitation means and identify situations where it is appropriate and timely. You can describe the vocational rehabilitation system and its actors. You know the key vocational rehabilitation measures, their contents and social security related to rehabilitation. You can describe the structures of the rehabilitation processes formed by the measures. You understand the importance of sustainable rehabilitation solutions and know how to critically examine the impact of rehabilitation. You know the legislation governing the activities.

Content

Vocational rehabilitation as a whole, its areas, actors and legislation. Occupational pension rehabilitation, occupational rehabilitation of accident insurance companies and Kela. Key concepts and phenomena of vovcationa rehabilitation. Social security related to rehabilitation. The different stages and processes of the rehabilitation process. Effectiveness of rehabilitation.
