Objective
The students understand the psychology and principles of individual and group behaviour and internalise the significance of leadership as a competitive and wellness factor of an expert work community. They have a positive and harmonious idea of man and are able to analyse themselves from various perspectives as members of their work community. They appreciate constructive feedback and have the readiness to develop themselves and their employees. They are encouraging towards their colleagues and able to actively promote cooperation and collectiveness in their work community. They are capable change managers and master internal change training for themselves and their work community.
The students have a clearly organised view of the management of competence and they are able to create a competence strategy for their work community, aiming at the continuous development of personnel resources and core competencies. They have internalised the basic concepts and models of strategic thinking and strategic management and are able to apply them to develop their work community and its competitive ability in a changing operating environment. They understand cultural differences, the potential and significance of national and global networking for the development of their work community, as well as recognising its and their own social responsibility in managing sustainable development. They can assess and develop their own competencies and those of their employees in the daily activities of the work community.
Content
Measuring, utilising and developing existing competencies (competence mappings and profiles, tacit knowledge, the challenges of ageing). Self-knowledge, emotional intelligence and human relations. Change management. Competence management and strategic management. Strategic thinking, the strategy process and the creation of a competence strategy. The recognition and elimination of obstacles to innovation and creativity. Competence management when operating in international networks. Maintaining continuous motivation.
