Objective
The student manages the power use of Windows operating system. The student knows the structure and basics of a Linux based operating system. The student understands the basic concepts of data bases and the basics of SQL language. The student knows how to manage a database (constructing and maintaining a database)
Content
- Windows 7 (user inteface, data management, data security, user accounts, tools, disk management)
- Linux (structure and basic commands)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
• Very good (4-5): Exemplary performance in all the subareas; the choices made in design and implementation are well justified and the metadata has been saved, innovative solution, excellent SQL competence. The student masters the basic Linux commands and the central components of the system and their purposes. The student knows the tools of the Windows operation system and can utilize them efficiently and comprehensively both in the maintenance and monitoring of the system.
• Good (3): The student can create and implement a database almost faultlessly and utilize the SQL language comprehensively. The student masters almost all basic Linux commands and the purposes of the most important system components. In addition, the student can utilize Windows tools to manage and monitor the system.
• Satisfactory (1-2): Mastery of the basics: the student can create a link between two tables using primary and foreign keys and perform basic queries in SQL. In addition, the student knows most of the basic Linux commands and can utilize the essential Windows tools.
