3D ModellingLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

The students master modelling and can use a CAD system as a tool in technical calculation, e.g. cross-section quantities. They master parametric feature modelling and the production of workshop drawings based on a 3D model.

Content

3D modelling methods. Model structure and the use of structure tree. The hierarchy of features and assemblies. Creating drawings on a model and an assembly parts list on an assembly drawing. Parametrisation both at model and assembly level.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Very good (4-5): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills required to get the grade Good (3) and can apply the knowledge acquired in a critical and innovative manner to problem solving situations.
Good (3): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills also in more complicated modeling situations:
- can design models and analyze them critically considering the strength assessment
- can produce unambiguous drawings of 3D models and assemblies suitable for work instructions
Satisfactory (1-2): The student knows the basics but in central problem solving situations the skills are inadequate; however, the student has mainly achieved the learning objectives of the course.
