Objective
The students know the chip removal manufacturing methods of machine workshops and are able to perform design and development tasks related to the above mentioned methods.
Content
The chip removal production methods of machine workshops. Chip removal parameters. The production process of workpieces through chip removal. Attaching a component. The development of machining (the processability of components, impact of automation, development of the tool system). The basics of NC technology and NC programming.
Qualifications
The students master the basics of the most common manufacturing methods of machine workshops and the machines used in them. They understand how competitive end products are manufactured.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Very good (4-5): The student masters the knowledge and skills required to get the grade Good (3) and can apply the knowledge acquired in a critical and innovative manner to design and development tasks.
Good (3): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills also in demanding applications:
- is able to plan a manufacturing process, the attachment of a component and NC programming
- is familiar with the development principles of the chip removal manufacturing.
Satisfactory (1-2): The student is familiar with the chip removal manufacturing methods and parameters as well as the other concepts of the course but can apply them only in a satisfactory manner to design and development tasks.
