Objective
Together with a nursing team, the students plan, implement and evaluate the nursing of patients with mental health problems and addiction-related illnesses as well as crisis patients ethically and in a customer-oriented manner, health promoting, ethically and ensuring patient safety and applying multidisciplinary evidence-based knowledge.

Qualifications
The students master the evaluation, monitoring and key nursing methods of a mental health, addiction and crisis patients. They are able to help and support the patients and their families, promoting good mental health and sobriety. The students are able to make entries and work in compliance with data protection regulations. They have skills in implementing nursing for mental health, addiction and crisis patients and their families. They can perform pharmaceutical calculations acceptably.

Comply with the ethical principles of nursing and requirements of patient safety
Together with a nursing team, they plan, implement and evaluate the nursing of patients with mental health problems and addiction-related illnesses as well as crisis patients in a customer-oriented manner, applying multidisciplinary evidence-based knowledge
Are able to encounter a mental patient, an addiction patient, a crisis patient and the patients’ families, drawing on their nursing skills.
Are able to guide and assist patients and their families in coping with key mental health problems, addiction-related illnesses and a crisis
Apply their knowledge of treatment and service chains and the psychological continuity of care, thus promoting the health of patients and their families
Are capable of oral communication and documentation for the patient record system as required by legislation.
Implement safe drug therapy
under guidance, implement goal-oriented patient care and rehabilitation in a resource-based manner and stressing the active role of the patient, drawing on appropriate guidance and teaching material
Follow the work community rules, act with initiative and demonstrate ability for cooperation
Assess their own actions critically and suggest targets for development.
