Objective

The students can use creative and technical therapeutic activities as therapy work tools. They know their own relatioship with different forms of occupations, can assess their own skills in them and understand their therapeutic significations. The students can analyse the impacts of occupational forms and occupational environments and can apply them in therapy situations taking into consideration occupational history and roles and significance of occupation to individuals and their families. The students know the R&D related to the area and are able to use this knowledge. They can solve problems in innovative and creative ways taking the clients and the working environments into the consideration.

Content

Creativity as concept. Own relationship to creativity.Analysing technical and creative activities and making them therapeutic.Client-centeredeness and family-centeredness. Activities such as pottery, printing, paper and willow work, plywood work, creative movement, visual expression, fairytales and literature, video and movie, drama, social media.

Qualifications

The students know activity analysis and central concepts of occupational therapy.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Advanced competence (5-4):

The students can use multiple creative and technical therapeutic activities as therapy work tools. They know their own relatioship with different forms of activity, can assess and develop their own skills in them and understand their therapeutic significations. The students can make analysis about the impacts of occupational activities and can apply them in different kind of therapy situations taking into consideration occupational history and roles and significance of occupation to individuals.The students produce innovative and creative solutions for the working life and is able to use new research data in these solutions.

Developing competence (3)

The students can use creative and technical therapeutic activities as therapy work tools. They know their own relatioship with different forms of activity, can assess and develop their own skills in them. The students can make analysis about the impacts and can apply them in different kind of therapy situations. The students are familiar with the international knowledge base of the course/area of competence and can use it. The students know how, by different means, to disseminate the knowledge they have acquired and how to critically justify its use.

Basic competence (1-2):

The students can use some creative and technical therapeutic activities as therapy work tools. They have some experience with different forms of activity and tries to develop their own skills in them and considerate their therapeutic significations. The students recognize the impacts of occupational forms and occupational environments to different kind of therapy situations. During the course and in the all items of assessment the students show their competency in a narrow way and with limited argumentation.

In the assessment of written assignments, assessment criteria for written assignments are used.

Fail:
The students don´t know the basic concepts of the course or the content of the course. They are not able to take responsibility of course tasks or plan own work at the course.
