Objective
The students can
-implement evidence-based physiotherapy as a part of rehabilitation, taking into consideration the ethical and philosophical principles of physiotherapy as well as legislative viewpoints.
-is able to develop and internationalize his/her professional field

Concepts, definitions, determinants and models of physiotherapy.
Evidence based physiotherapy.
WHO ICF framework
Physiotherapy nomenclature
Internationality and physiotherapy Ethical principles for physiotherapists, the ethical principles of WCPT.
The ethical justifications of health care as legislative requirements.
Practising the profession, employment and entrepreneurship. The history and future of physiotherapy.
Professional advanced practice.
Qualifications
No prerequisites for the autumn term of the 1st year
All other practice periods must be completed before advanced practice contributing to professional skills
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
First term's 2 Cr part Pass/Fail
Pass: The student takes the responsibility for his/her own activities and knows how to take others into consideration in those activities. He/she acts in accordance with the ways agreed and completes given learning tasks acceptably.

The student possesses an adequate knowledge/skill level and has an active attitude with initiative for self-improvement to work in future independently as a physiotherapist. He/she is capable for evaluating critical information, outlining wholes, implementing development projects and developing work methods. He/she has the capability to cooperate and can work in different tasks – even internationally –, in work groups and networks as an expert on and developer of physiotherapy.
