Objective

The student applies and deepens the methods of assessment and influence of physiotherapy in disabilities related to the central and peripheral nervous system. S/he adopts an investigative work approach and s/he critically assesses s/h work and the success of physiotherapy in customer work. In his/her actions, the student takes into consideration the life situation of the customer and s/h family and multi-professional cooperation possibilities. S/he becomes familiar with rehabilitation service systems, assistive device technology and environmental planning and operates entrepreneurship.

Completion of Professional Practice I and II.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students demonstrate to have achieved the learning objectives of the course.
PASS: The student takes responsibility for his/her own actions and is able to work independently and in multi-professional cooperation in different teams, work groups, professional networks and service chains as an expert of physiotherapy. S/he is able to estimate and analyse the prerequisites and functional restrictions, and critically assess the significance of his/her conclusions. Based on his/her estimation, s/he is able to create a plan for physiotherapy, taking into account the equal position of him/herself and the client and the family. S/he is able to give expert opinions and create written reports. The student is able to reflect his/her instruction skills and teaching methods, and to estimate the learning of participants in different situations. S/he is able to plan, implement and estimate different methods of therapy in physiotherapy, utilizing evidence-based information. For example, s/he is able to apply the methods of therapeutic exercise and motoric learning / instruction in customer/group instruction, and utilizes applied technology in the estimation and practice of locomotion and functional abilities.
