Objective

The student understands the significance of influence, effectiveness, quality and costs of rehabilitation on the levels of an individual, population, services and society. When planning services, individual instruction and guidance for the use of services, the student is able to take into account the profitability and effectiveness of rehabilitation from the point of view of the client. S/he develops his/her competence and activities towards better profitability and cost-efficiency as a part of health care service system. The student promotes physical accessibility in housing and working environment as part of profitable rehabilitative activity.

Content

The social and individual and service process related costs of rehabilitation; profitability and effectiveness from the view point of rehabilitation client; outcomes of rehabilitation in the research of health and social economy; profitability of rehabilitation as assessed by a specialist; the influence of physical accessibility in housing and working environment to the results of rehabilitation.

Qualifications

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5) The student demonstrates the ability to observe and estimate critically the quality, effectiveness and economic efficiency of rehabilitation in assessment of client processes and s/he presents entrepreneurial and proactive solutions for implementing rehabilitation in a customer oriented manner. Very good(4) The student is familiar with research information related to the social influence of rehabilitation, and s/he is able to apply it in rehabilitation-related decisions.
Good (3): The student demonstrates understanding of the significance of the effectiveness of rehabilitation services as an entity for assessment of client processes. Additionally, s/he demonstrates skills in information acquisition related to the planning, decision-making and management of rehabilitation services.
Satisfactory (2), The student demonstrates understanding of the effectiveness of rehabilitation services from the point of view of a client and is able to acquire information for development of his/her own management and decision-making skills, and for assessment of the effectiveness of rehabilitation services from the point of view of a client and society. Poor (1)Student is able to get knowledge of rehabilitation and understands meaning of rehabilitation service for good of clients.
Fail (0): The student does not master the subject areas of the profitability of rehabilitation from the point of view of theory, effectiveness or practice. S/he does not demonstrate being able to complete learning assignments in an acceptable manner.
