Qualifications

The layered structure of telecommunication. Knowledge of digital technology, binary and hexadecimal conversions. Basics of Internet protocol version 4 and Version 6 design. Virtual local area networks. Ethernet local area network, e.g. address resolution protocol.

Content

The course contains Cisco Networking Academy program’s Cisco Certified Networking Associate certificate third (CCNA3) and the fourth (CCNA4) semester contents: Virtual local area networks and loop detection protocols in them. First hop redundancy protocols, Licensing of Cisco System’s Devices, Virtual private networks and tunneling, serial port connections, broadband connections and wide area networks are studied.

Objective

The student masters the most essential contents of Cisco Systems networks: concepts, used technical implementations, general topics connected to network structure. In addition, the student masters the principles of Cisco Systems design and is able to design suitable network protocols based on requirement definitions taking into account restrictions.
