Schedule: 11 February 2025–23 April 2025
This is an intensive implementation: typically two face-to-face meetings every week. The meetings are organized on the main campus.
Your attendance will be checked and reported during the third week of the course.
In addition to the meetings with the lecturer, you will have assignments and homework that are to be completed independently and within the given schedule. Besides the meetings, please reserve 4–6 hours per week for the studies in this course.
The purpose of the course is to improve your confidence and skills in using spoken English in a variety of realistic situations, and to help you develop the tools and strategies needed to make yourself understood despite potential communication challenges.
During the course, you will refine your vocabulary as well as your pronunciation skills and develop effective conversational techniques. You will demonstrate your ability to apply your learning through a wide variety of activities involving one-on-one and group discussions. There will also be a mid-course test and final exam, both of which will be implemented as conversations/discussions.
The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or other plugins, for example Grammarly, is strictly limited for educational purposes. If used, you must report it as instructed by the lecturer.
