Objective

Object of the course:
The knowledge and skills you get on this course you will need in order to be able to design load-bearing reinforced concrete structures for demanding grade buildings.
Course competences:
- Mathematic and Natural science competence
- Technological competence
The learning objectives of the course:
You know how to design and dimension load-bearing reinforced concrete structures in an ultimate-limit and service-limit state. You can also design the stiffening of the frame as an element structure. You know how to plan the fireproofing of structures and take into account how to prevent the continuous collapse of buildings.
These are also the basic tasks of the course.

Content

Reinforced concrete flat slab floor, Short concrete juts, Beam Walls, Local compression, punching.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Passable (1): The student recognizes all of the learning objectives, understands the meaning of them and is able to perform the basic tasks described in the learning objectives of the course.

Satisfying (2): In addition to previous skills, the student can systematically describe the issues of the course.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good (3): In addition to previous skills, the student can describe the influences of various solutions and can make reasoned choices between alternatives.

Laudable (4): In addition to previous skills, the student can apply the learned issues independently and is able to evaluate done solutions.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent ( 5 ): In addition to previous skills, the student shows deep knowledge of course contents as well as ability to parse and wider analyze the influences of solutions.

Studification:
The Student has to show that he masters the learning objectives of the course with proof, such as f.eg. certificate of earlier degrees, documents and performances made in working life supplemented with statements.

Qualifications:
The course is part of studies that belong to qualifications of civil engineer (Ministry of the Environment guidelines on the difficulty classes of design tasks YM1/601/2015).

The studies follow guidelines of curriculum performed in cooperation with Universities of applied sciences and construction industry in 2017.
