Objective

You recognise and are able to substantiate and evaluate your own professional, ethical and pedagogical principles in early childhood education work. In a goal-oriented manner together with your colleagues, you are capable of planning, implementing and evaluating pedagogical activities that are in accordance with the principles of the early childhood education plan and support children’s participation. You are familiar with the main contents of early childhood education and are able to apply different working methods in early childhood education work.

Qualifications

The student has an overall knowledge of the growth, development and learning of a child under school age. The student has the ability to develop and consider the principles behind their education work.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Adequate (1) You describe your pedagogical principles briefly. You know the basics of planning, implementing and evaluating pedagogical activities in early childhood education work. You recognise only a few principles of supporting child participation. You partially recognise the contents of the early childhood education plan and know some early childhood education working methods. In written assignments, you describe the phenomena of the subject matter without substantiating them and use little source material.

Satisfactory (2) You are able to recognise and describe your pedagogical principles. You know the basics of planning, implementing and evaluating pedagogical activities in early childhood education work. You recognise principles of supporting child participation. You partially recognise the main contents of the early childhood education plan and know some early childhood education working methods. In written assignments, you describe the phenomena of the subject matter without substantiating them and use little source material.
