Objective

The students
o master the knowledge and theory basis of human resources management and change management and can assess their significance and use them in practice
o understand the significance of wellbeing at work and of personnel resources in managing change
o master the central tools of human resources management
o have the basic competence in human resources and networking

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The general criteria of the competences that the Master's Degrees awarded by Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences provide can be found on JAMK's web pages (www.jamk.fi/english/forstudents/studyguidemaster). The learning outcomes of individual courses are assessed in relation to the objectives of the course concerned. Assessment is based on knowledge, skills and competence in accordance with the National and European Qualifications Framework (NQF/EQF), level 7.

If the student does not meet the minimum criteria set for the course, the grade is 0 (Fail).

1 (Adequate) –2 (Satisfactory)
The student is familiar with the basics of personnel management and change management. The student knows the core processes and central actors of personnel management and change management. The student is aware of the basic phenomena and principles regarding maintaining and developing well-being at work. The student is familiar with the stages of a successful change process and the duties involved in change management.

3 (Good)- 4 (Very good)
In addition to the core competence required for grades 1-2, the student has knowledge of the below issues and has the ability to apply what he or she has learned into practice.
The student understands the interconnections between change management, strategic personnel management and well-being at work as well as the basic principles of each field. The student analyses the central phenomena and processes of change management and personnel management in relation to each other and time and location. The student has mastered the central elements and principles of developing well-being at work. The student demonstrates a good skills level in identifying and analysing the stages of a change process.

5 (Excellent)
In addition to the central competence required for grade 3-4, the student has knowledge of the below issues and is capable of applying what he or she has learned in a critical and innovative manner.
The student successfully combines practical experiences to theoretical knowledge obtained. The student confidently and fluently employs concepts of change management and personnel management when describing events and phenomena on the levels or both theory and practice. The student forms new perspectives in relation to what he or she has heard and read and demonstrates ability to think and act independently in the different aspects of change management and personnel management.
