Objective
The objective of this module is to review theory and practices of managing change and leadership in contemporary organizations and society. Student master theoretical bases of change management and trust in leadership and are able to critically estimate their role in management situations. She/he recognize the impact of occupational wellbeing and competence management to result of an organization and understand the significance of leading people, and especially the role of information, communication and trust in change management. Student is able to put in the practice knowledge and experience they have accumulated in various problem solving situations. Student is also able to lead and assess change and competence management and leadership in his/her organization.
Content
The module focuses on the management of change, competence management and trust in leadership as part of the strategic thinking of organizations. They are examined in theory and in practice. Organizational culture, the leadership and the change management are reflected through the key concepts which are information, communication and trust.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
1 (Sufficient): The student knows the key concepts of change management and trust in leadership. Main task includes a constricted view of work unit or own duty. The theory base is limited.
2 (Satisfactory): The student knows the key concepts of change management, competence management and trust in leadership. Main task includes a view of work unit. Student writes a quite modest report.
3 (Good): The student express knowledge of the theoretical discussion. The student put into practice, what he/she has learned, and he develops his expertise. He is able to solve problems in working life. The student is able to write almost impeccable report, which includes discussions of organizational level and/or own expertise level.
4 (Very good): The student knows the key concepts of change management, competence management and trust in leadership. The student put into practice, what he/she has learned, and he/she develops his/her expertise. The student is able to solve the problems in working life and to lead subjects and people. The student is able to write a quality report, which includes also international references.
5 (Excellent): The student knows the key concepts of change management, competence management and trust in leadership. The student put into practice what he/she has learned, and he/she develops his/her expertise. He/she is able to develop workplace management and leadership practices and know how to manage and evaluate those in an organization. The student indicates critical thinking in terms of new knowledge. The student is able to solve demanding problems in working life and to lead subjects and people in an innovative way. The student will write a high-quality, printable and reflecting report with constructive criticism, which includes several international references.
