Objective

The students understand the basics of relational algebra and the importance of databases from the perspective of business activity. They can design and implement a normalized relational database and use the SQL-language to perform demanding queries. In addition, the students know different devices used in analyzing and processing data.

Excellent (5): The students understand the concepts and they can apply their knowledge in practical problems. They can create a normalized database and utilize widely the features offered by the database management system. The students master well the SQL-language and they can build demanding queries.
Good (3-4): The students know the concepts, they can create a normalized database and they can use the features offered by the database management system. They master the SQL-language and they can use it in a versatile way to make queries.
Satisfactory (1-2): The students know the basic concepts, they can create a normalized database and they can use some of the features offered by the database management system. They know the SQL-language and they are able to use it to make queries.
