Objective

The students learn the basics of electrical safety. They are able to perform measurements of electric quantities. They can calculate and dimension DC circuits, 1v-AV circuits and frequency circuits. They understand the significance of EMC and protection against interference in electrical systems and know the operating principle and structure of power supply.

Content

Electric quantities, symbols and graphic symbols. Basics of DC and AC electricity, phase shift, impedance quantities, powers. Circuit transformations of DC and 1v-AC circuits. Circuit solutions with the loop method. The calculatory handling of resonance and filter circuits. Spare power sources, UPS and power sources. Basic protection against interference and electricity quality requirements.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5) The student has a clear overall picture of the topic and ability to apply the knowledge electro technical problems
good (3-4) The student knows the basic calculations of DC and AC circuits and the pointer calculation with AC circuits. The student knows the basic systems for supplying electricity
satisfactory (1-2) The student knows the basics of electricity safety regulations and he (she) has the skills for basic electricity measurements
Not accepted (0) The student does not master the topic area.
