Objective
The students know the central modelling methods of DC and AC circuits, can use systematic analysis methods to find out the currents and voltages of DC and AC circuit elements. They know the basics of resonance and symmetrical three-phases. They understand the concepts of effective and reactive power in alternating current technology.
Content
DC and AC circuit analysis methods: circuit transformations, the loop method and Thevenin method. Complex power. Coil and condensator equivalent circuits and mutual inductance. Resonance circuits. Symmetrical three-phase system analysis.
Qualifications
Basics of DC and AC and familiarity with electrical safety.
The basic of mathematics.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Very good (5): The student has a clear overall idea about the subject and "Very good (5): The student has a clear overall idea about the subject and he/she is able to apply different methods to problems which should be solved using circuit analyses.
Good (3-4): The student can use the main modifications and methods of the circuit analysis. Moreover, the student can use vector calculations when analyzing the AC circuits.
Satisfactory (1-2): The student’s mastery of the subject as a whole is weak and the idea of the subject is defective.
Fail (0) The student does not master the subject.
