Objective
The students understand the central concepts of energy economics. They know the energy sources, and they familiarise themselves with the world’s energy reserves and consumption, and with the goals and conditions set by the environmental policy. The students also know the major electricity and heat and production methods, the structure of electrical systems, and they familiarise themselves with the functioning of the electricity market and the costs of electricity production and use.
