Objective
- Students are familiar with livestock production types. They are familiar with the practices and most essential work tasks of farms practicing dairy husbandry and with the environmental impact of livestock production.
- They know how to handle and care for animals in accordance with occupational safety.
- Students are able to evaluate the effect of production environment to the animals’ production and wellness.
- Students are able to perform farm machine works safely and efficiently. They know how to drive a tractor and attach driven machines to tractors, taking into account work safety.
- In addition, they are familiar with basic tractor techniques and have learned the importance of preventive maintenance for the lifetime and exchange value of machines.

- marking and registration of animals
- factors affecting the quality of food products in livestock farms
- basics of livestock anatomy
- tractor construction, maintenance and safe operation in farm works.
Practical exercises:
- cows’ treatment and milking exercises in the school’s barn
- tractor driving and reversing
- attaching implements
- tractor maintenance
- working in a livestock farm
- visiting a tractor factory.

Student with basic skills (1-2)
- Students can handle tasks in a livestock farm and are familiar with the theoretical basis of these works.
Developing learner (3-4)
- In addition to the above the students are able to estimate the impact of their activity on production.
Expert performer (5)
- In addition to the above, the students are able to apply their knowledge in a variety of circumstances and knows how to develop farm practices and work tasks.
