Qualifications

-

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Inexperienced performer 1-2
The student knows crop quality criteria, their determination and the significance of the results for the use of the crops. Can make a cultivation plan, knows the cultivation technique of the main field plants. Knows the machines and work chains of basic fodders as well as of other field plants. Can look for new alternatives for implementing the farm’s present production with different work chains. In planning the work chains, can consider different field plants, the time available, weather conditions and fields.
The student can calculate the production costs and profitability of plant cultivation. Knows the profitability factors of plant cultivation.
Developing performer 3-4
In addition to the aforementioned, the student masters plant production as a whole (cultivation technique, economy and environmental impact). Can holistically plan work chains for a large-scale farm undertaking versatile farming. Follows the latest research and information in the field and applies the new information to develop the field. Recognizes the pressures for change in plant production.
Competent performer 5
In addition to the aforementioned, the student can foresee the pressures for change in plant production and, based on them, critically develop the production sector based on economy and sustainability. Can critically evaluate work chains and the risks involved in their use. Can change the utilization of work chains according to situation, and can advice others on the choice of a work chain.
