The students are able to appropriately and efficiently apply the basic methods of mathematics to solve problems of their field.

• Calculation tools and methods
• Forming and processing equations
• Percentage calculation and its applications
• Multiplex numbers, power, logarithms
• Areas and cubic volumes
• Basic statistical methods

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
o Inexperienced performer (1-2): The student is able to solve given mathematical problems according to instructions
o Developing performer (3-4): The student can use and apply things learnt to solve mathematical problems in the field.
o Competent performer (5): The student demonstrates a profound understanding of the things learnt, as well as the ability to apply them to problem-solving in the field.
