Objective
Student can:
-Apply clinical nursing interventions in the patient centered care in most common public health problems
-Observe, evaluate and support vital functions (breathing, circulation, life support)
-Maintain the fluid balance
-Perform basic clinical examinations
-Follow the principles of aseptic work and infection precautions
-Perform patient education by the means of motivational discussion
-Use basic clinical technologies taking into account patient safety
-Reason decisions She/he has made
-Student master the medical drug calculations

-Ensuring vital functions and life support
-Fluid balance, peripheral fluid therapy and medication
-Basic clinical examinations and result interpretation
-Principles of aseptic work and infection precautions
-Motivational discussion; supporting patients' resources
-Encountering threatening patients

-Medical drug calculations
Qualifications
Student masters the basic nursing interventions and the core concepts of the clinical environment. Student is able to take into account preventive care and patient education aims as well as aseptic principles. Student knows the basis of evidence-based decision-making.

The student:
- Is able to apply clinical nursing interventions in patient centered care
- Can observe, evaluate and support vital functions (breathing, circulation, life support)
- Can maintain the fluid balance
- Is able to perform basic clinical examinations
- Implements the principles of aseptic work and infection precautions
- Demonstrates skills in patient centered education by the means of motivational discussion
- Is able to use basic clinical technologies taking into account patient safety
- Applies evidence based knowledge in decisions making
- Masters the medical drug calculations
Fail(0):
The student:
- Has inadequate knowledge and fails to ensure patient safety in performing clinical nursing interventions and clinical examinations in patient centered care
- Neglects aseptic principles in clinical settings
- Is unable to reason her/his decisions
- Has insufficient competence in performing drug calculations
