Objective

The students know the basic ethical values and principles of nursing, as well as its conceptions of man and moral as determinants of nursing. They know the Act on the Status and Rights of Patients and understand that privacy protection and confidentiality are an essential part of nursing. They start their professional growth process.
The students are familiar with the central concepts of nursing science and the principles of a cooperative relationship, and perceive the decision-making process of nursing as the fundamental knowledge base of nursing. They know the principles of individual responsibility and team work as ways to organize nursing practice. They know the needs classification of nursing and perceive the basics of structural documentation. They know the types of knowledge, become interested in the utilization of nursing science knowledge in nursing, and have a basic knowledge of evidence-based nursing.

The student is able to apply information based on international and the latest knowledge base to decision-making in nursing practice. He/she is able to assess information critically and demonstrates creative thinking. The student is able to use information and communication technology creatively to acquire and apply information and to communicate it to his/her community. He/she presents information in the communication and interactive situations of his/her community with excellent analysis skills and makes connections to future information needs of the sector. The student is able to assess his/her competence and the skills he/she has acquired comprehensively, critically and instructively. On this basis, he/she is able to further develop his/her decision-making skills in nursing.

The student is able to apply information based on international and the latest knowledge base to decision-making in nursing practice. He/she is able to assess information critically. The student is able to use information and communication technology creatively to acquire and apply information and to communicate it to his/her community. He/she presents information in the communication and interactive situations of his/her community with very good analysis skills and makes connections to future information needs of the sector. The student is able to assess his/her competence and the skills he/she has acquired comprehensively, critically and instructively. On this basis, he/she is able to further develop his/her decision-making skills in nursing.

The student has comprehensively mastered the basic knowledge of decision-making in nursing practice. He/she acquires information independently and with initiative, and assesses information critically. The student is able to share the information he/she has acquired using various means and critically justify its use to the members of his/her community. He/she is able to apply and present information in the communication and interactive situations of his/her community with a clear structure, instructively and constructively. The student has good decision-making skills in nursing practice in his/her field, which he/she is able to draw on in new situations involving multi-disciplinary problems. The student knows how the skills he/she is developing during the decision-making in nursing practice course are linked to competence requirements of nursing practice. The student is able to develop his/her own competence

The student is able to assess the information from various perspectives, for example in terms of professional ethics. The student is familiar with the most central information sources of evidence-based nursing practice. The student has the basic skills of decision-making in nursing practice.
