Objective
The students
•know the structure and operation of the human locomotor system and the circulatory and respiratory systems
•have a basic knowledge of the causes of illnesses, their development mechanisms, structural changes caused by them, and other central concepts and phenomena of diagnostics and care
•know the basics of medication and understand the ethical and juridical responsibility of nurse in medical treatment
•master basic mathematics and can correctly perform drug calculations
•develop a readiness for the prevention of the spreading of infections, particularly hospital infections, through clinical familiarization with the main microbes, the birth mechanisms of the infectious diseases caused by them, and with the defence mechanisms of the system.

Excellent (5) – Very good (4) KNOWLEDGE: The student has mastered the knowledge base of clinical nursing practice and is able to examine it in a versatile manner, giving justifications and from various perspectives.
The student is able to apply his/her knowledge to implementing medical treatment in clinical nursing practice and is motivated in this.
SKILLS: The student is able to apply the skills he/she has acquired and demonstrated to innovatively solve problems in nursing practice. The student is able to assess his/her learning and the skills he/she has acquired in a comprehensive, critical and instructive manner. The student is able to draw on his/her wide-ranging clinical knowledge base in a versatile manner in written assignments. GENERAL COMPETENCE: The student comprehensively understands a nurse's ethical, judicial and aseptic responsibilities in medical treatment. The student masters basic mathematics and manages pharmaceutical calculations correctly. The student has a wide-ranging basic knowledge, and he/she is able to draw on of his/her knowledge to solve various problems in nursing practice. He/she is motivated to independently acquire information and to make critical use of it.
Good (3) KNOWLEDGE: The student is familiar with and mainly understands the structure and functioning of the human musculoskeletal, circulatory and respiratory system and is able to draw on the knowledge he/she has learnt. He/she has mastered the basics of medical treatment and aseptic principles and is partly able to draw on the knowledge he/she has learnt. The student masters the principles of microbiology and preventing the spread of infections and the defence mechanisms of the body, and he/she understands their significance in nursing practice. SKILLS: The student knows how the skills he/she is developing during the course are associated with the competence requirements of nursing practice and is able to improve his/her skills. The student is able to apply his/her clinical knowledge base to written assignments.

KNOWLEDGE: The student is familiar with the structure and functioning of the human musculoskeletal, circulatory and respiratory system. He/she is familiar with pathology, medical treatment, pharmaceutical calculation, basics of aseptic techniques, microbiology and basics of preventing the spread of infections as well as the defence mechanisms of the body. SKILLS: The student is uncertain about how the skills he/she is developing during the courses are associated with the competence requirements of nursing practice. He/she is partly able to adapt his actions to changing challenges of the assignment and the operating environment. Coping with written assignments that require application of knowledge is a challenge to the student. GENERAL COMPETENCE: The student understands a nurse's ethical, judicial and aseptic responsibilities in medical treatment. The student has mastered basic mathematics and is able to perform pharmaceutical calculations correctly. The student has basic clinical knowledge and is able to acquire information independently and with initiative.
