Objective

The student is able to promote the health of families in various stages of the life cycle. The students have capabilities for planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based family nursing of customers of sexual and reproductive health and the nursing of children and young people. The students can utilize the medical knowledge base of sexual and reproductive health and paediatrics.

Content

Promoting the health of families, networks that support health and their exploitation, determining the need for evidence-based nursing of a family, methods and evaluation of nursing, resource-based counselling of families, promoting the sexual and reproductive health of people, recognition and prevention of risk factors, gynaecological nursing, family nursing of families in the prenatal and postnatal period, basics of developmental disorders of children and young people, nursing of children and young people, mental health nursing of children and young people, basics of gynaecology and paediatrics, pharmaceutical calculations.

Qualifications

The student masters basic knowledge, key concepts and methods of social and health care sector customer relationships and setting as well as goals and methods of guidance, health promotion and preventive nursing, and is familiar with the basic premises of evidence-based decision-making.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5) The students demonstrate versatile and extensive capabilities for promoting the health of families and for the planning, implementation and evaluation of family nursing in the care process of children and young people, families in the prenatal and postnatal period and sexual and reproductive health customers. The students demonstrate a versatile and extensive command of the sexual and reproductive health and paediatrics knowledge base as well as drug therapy. They reflect upon their choices in learning assignments critically and analytically, drawing on relevant and evidence-based multiprofessional knowledge in a versatile manner. The students are able to assess their capabilities critically and to suggest development ideas, demonstrating creative thinking.
Very good (4) The students demonstrate versatile capabilities for promoting the health of families and for the planning, implementation and evaluation of family nursing in the care process of children and young people, families in the prenatal and postnatal period and sexual and reproductive health customers. The students demonstrate a versatile command of the sexual and reproductive health and paediatrics knowledge base as well as drug therapy. The students reflect upon their choices in learning assignments in a versatile manner, drawing on relevant and evidence-based multiprofessional knowledge. The students are able to assess their capabilities critically and to suggest some development ideas.
Good (3) The students demonstrate key capabilities for promoting the health of families and for the planning, implementation and evaluation of family nursing in the care process of children and young people, families in the prenatal and postnatal period and sexual and reproductive health customers. The students demonstrate a command of the key sexual and reproductive health and paediatrics knowledge base as well as drug therapy. The students justify and reflect upon their choices in learning assignments, drawing on relevant and evidence-based multiprofessional knowledge. They are able to provide a versatile assessment of their capabilities.
Satisfactory (2) The students demonstrate basic capabilities for promoting the health of families and for the planning, implementation and evaluation of family nursing in the care process of children and young people, families in the prenatal and postnatal period and sexual and reproductive health customers. The students demonstrate knowledge of key sexual and reproductive health and paediatrics knowledge base as well as drug therapy. The students analyse their choices in learning assignments drawing on basic literature. They are able to provide a superficial assessment of their capabilities.
Adequate (1) The students demonstrate basic capabilities for promoting the health of families and for the planning, implementation and evaluation of family nursing in the care process of children and young people, families in the prenatal and postnatal period and sexual and reproductive health customers. The students recognize key aspects of the sexual and reproductive health and paediatrics knowledge base as well as drug therapy. The students draw on basic literature in the learning assignments. They are able to provide a superficial assessment of their capabilities.
