Objective

The student knows the concepts and basic tools to survey the functions connected with the social responsibility of a company. The student has skills to start a process aiming at surveying the social responsibility level of a company.
The student can survey the rights and obligations of a company and, based on these, can pick the ethically problematic conventions under scrutiny. He / she can suggest ethically sustainable solutions to the problems. The student understands the importance of interest groups and can take their requirements into consideration in both his / her own actions as a company representative and on the company level.

Content

The relationship between company and society. The foundations of business ethics and the ethical dimensions of operations. Seeking personal and sustainable solutions to ethical problems. The importance of interest group management for continuity and success. The importance of social responsibility for competitive advantage and profitability. Management systems of responsible business and reponsible management.
