Management Accounting and Business Mathematics (5cr)

Objective

The student knows tasks of management accounting and is able to recognize needs for the development of accounting in changing decision-making situations. He/she knows the requirements of profitable business, and is able to choose an accounting method which suits the decision-making situation in question, and to use modern accounting tools. He/she is able to prepare a budget, propose actions based on it, and to price a product. He/she able to make decisions with methods based on mathematics.

Content

The tasks and meaning of management accounting, variable costing and its ratios, customer profitability and pricing, budgeting, economic applications of interest and percentage calculations.
