Objective
The students have basic image processing skills and they are able to use image processing in their field of work. They know the basics of digital image processing and the most common software. They are able to produce, format and save digital images in the formats required by various media. They are able to use image processing software to manipulate images and to create different graphic formats. They understand the requirements of visual communications and content production in visual expression.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Assessment is based on knowledge, skills and competence in accordance with the National and European Qualifications Framework, Level 6 in relation with the learning objectives of the course.
A course accepted as completed is assessed on the following five-step scale:
- 5 (Excellent)
-- Excellent: Innovative problem solving skills, advanced ability to perceive the role of image processing skills in the field of work concerned, advanced ability to indentify one’s own need to develop image processing skills in view of career prospects.
- 4 (Very Good) and 3 Good)

-- ability to identify one’s own need to develop image processing skills in view of the current situation in the field of work concerned
- 2 (Satisfactory) and 1 (Sufficient)

The grading system corresponds to ECTS grades A-E. If the performance does not meet the minimum criteria set for the course, the grade is 0 (Fail).
