Objective

The students are able to apply what they have learned to problems in working life, deepen their knowledge and acquire new know-how through customer-oriented practical projects. Different projects, primarily related to the development or utilisation of information systems, are implemented during the course. The projects may also involve development assignments (e.g. marketing, data acquisition and analysis) related to other sectors of business. Contact teaching may be based on seminars or small groups, in which the topics are introduced and the results presented collaboratively.

Content

The main contents include the understanding of customer requirements, solution-based ideation, the definition and production of the project’s output, the organisation of one’s own work and the entire client project, and the reporting of outputs in the way that is appropriate to the project.

Basics of business activity, web application development studies, basic use of utility software, project know-how

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Project output (quantity and quality) and reporting (presentation / demonstrations / presentation materials, written outputs) form the basis, process management (data acquisition and problem-solving skills, compliance with schedules and agreements) is also a central assessment criterion.
