Web Page Development (3cr)

Objective

The students are familiar with the basics of web page development. They know HTML, XHTML and CSS language structures and syntaxes. They also know the basics of planning an interface, the file structure and the use of graphic elements on a website. The students are capable of creating a static website utilising valid XHTML and CSS.

Content

The students become familiar with websites through observing existing websites, doing exercises and studying the structure of the mark-up languages. The students create and validate a website and the contents of their choice, and write it in XHTML and CSS.

Qualifications

Computing basics and resource management, digital image enhancement and manipulation

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The project is evaluated on the basis of content, structure and validity of the mark-up
