Mediatekniikan ammatillinen englanti (3cr)

Objective

The students have deepened and broadened their oral and written language skills supporting their field-specific professional competence, are familiar with the cultural features of the target language area, as well as with their significance for international interaction. They are motivated to maintain and enhance their language skills as part of their professional identity.

Content

The production of a website for a project in English; oral and written meeting and negotiation exercises (meeting documents). Advanced exercises on the special terminology of the individual project and supervised examination of related source materials. Project documentation and presentation.

Qualifications

Common European Framework of Reference, level B2 (see intranet / Language Centre) and common studies in the compulsory language

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The written and/or oral exercises of the course are collected into a demo portfolio of professional English. Student's self-assessment.
