Objective

The students understand the significance of field equipment as part of process control. They know the most common field equipment used in measurement and control, as well as their installation in an automation system.

Content

Control valves and their selection and dimensioning. The placing of field equipment into a process. The installing principles of field equipment and the accessories used in installation. Cabling principles and the feeding of auxiliary energy.
