Objective

The student
- understand the basic theory of user interface and usability as part of the design of an application
- knows the basic principles of UI and usability regarding functionality and visuality and taking into account the needs of the client or target group.

Basics of user interfaces; UI design, implementation with graphics software, the basics of usability, usability tests and assessment methods, form design, UI as part of a software design method.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent 5: The student masters well the rules of usability and he (she) can creatively apply these in the design of stylish user interfaces of WWW-pages and multimedia applications taking account of the customer point of view.
Very good 4: The student masters the rules of usability and he (she) can apply these in the design of stylish user interfaces of WWW-pages and multimedia applications taking account of the target group.
Good 3: The student knows the essential rules of usability and can apply these in the design of the user interface of WWW-pages and multimedia applications.
Satisfactory 2: The student can realize a basic user interface for WWW-pages and multimedia applications and he (she) knows the basics of usability.
Sufficient 1: The student can realize a simple user interface for WWW-pages and multimedia applications and he (she) knows the basics of usability.
