Objective
Upon completion of the course, the students know the basics of data networks, devices and concepts. They know the basics of IP subrouting, the cabling of LAN networks, and LANs.
They can implement and control small routed network environments and know basic routing protocols.
The students deepen their knowledge of professional English related to data network technology:
- oral communication (20 h): able to act in English in different roles, utilizing professional terminology in presentations
- written communication (20 h): mastery of technical writing and reporting style (compiling of portfolio deliverables begins, Networking Journal, field-specific terminology)
Content
• The basics of routing, static routing, distance and link-state routing protocol (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF), control and configuration of routers.
• Professional English, oral and written communication
