Objective

The students have the competence to apply for the certificate of qualification given by the institution of assessment, and then, they have the opportunity to work as a manager of electrical work and as a manager of use. Getting the certificate of qualification requires, in addition to education and work experience, the completion of a safety examination. The Safety Technology Authority (TUKES) takes care of organising the safety examinations.

Content

Standard on electrical safety, SFS 6002, includes the instructions and requirements concerning the safety of electrical work. During the course, different working methods of electrical work and use are discussed, and it is described how the responsibilities of occupational safety are divided in enterprises. Central contents are the dangerous nature of electricity, regulations and instructions concerning electrical safety, organisation and responsibilities, devices and equipment, working de-energised, close working and live working, use and guidance.

Qualifications

Mastery of the basics of electrical engineering, earlier experience of electrical work is desirable

Assignments and laboratory work, written exam
