Objective

The students command chord short-hand playing at the piano. They are able to accompany diverse sorts of light music and to improvise on the blues harmonic progression cycle.

Content

Stylistic trends in light music and, where necessary, elements of piano. Knowledge of chord short-hand symbols and sight-reading based on them. Independence from the score. The blues cycle structure and improvisation based therein.
