Objective
The students recognise and know the central medical basics of their own field of orientation. The students deepen their knowledge on human anatomy and especially on physiology. The students can independently retrieve, use and apply information on anatomy and physiology from different sources in accordance with the requirements of their profession, and they can produce a presentation based on this information in a small group.
Content
Central questions in the special fields of anesthesiology, geriatrics, surgery, pediatrics, psychiatry, medicine concerning intoxicants and internal diseases.
Sytology, sensory and neurophysiology, defensive reactions and fluid balance of the body and the areas of physiology chosen by agreement.
Qualifications
The students have a command of the basics of nursing, and they know the structure and the basic functions of the human body. The students have the basic readiness in the promotion of health and well-being of individuals, families and communities and in health education. They have the basic readiness in empowering family and community nursing. The students know the central health problems of the population, their threats, prevention and the changes that illnesses bring. The students know nursing and service systems, and the role of patient organisations as a part of the patient’s care.
