Basics of Clinical Nursing (4cr)

Objective

The students
•have a basic knowledge of the causes of illnesses, their development mechanisms, structural changes caused by them, and other central concepts and phenomena of diagnostics and care
•know the basics of medication and understand the ethical and juridical responsibility of nurse in medical treatment
•master basic mathematics and can correctly perform drug calculations
•develop a readiness for the prevention of the spreading of infections, particularly hospital infections, through clinical familiarization with the main microbes, the birth mechanisms of the infectious diseases caused by them, and with the defence mechanisms of the system.
