Write in Finnish for Health Care (5cr)

Objective

The students are able to write efficiently in various working life situations within health care. They can write documents such as a job application and a CV in Finnish. The students have a better command of the Finnish grammatical structures and are able to use them in various ways.

Qualifications

The course is meant for non-native Finnish speakers of health care. The students have a command of the basic grammatical structures of the Finnish language (tenses and the most usual cases) and are also able to use them in practice. They are able to communicate in Finnish in study and work related situations.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

5) The students are able to compose various texts dealing with health care. They can correctly express themselves in writing considering the context in question. The students understand texts dealing with health care and are able to summarize them. They can write job search documents in Finnish.

4) The students are able to compose various texts dealing with health care. The students understand the essentials of texts dealing with health care and are able to summarize the core parts. They can write job search documents in Finnish.
