Professional English for Wellness Technology (3cr)

Objective

The students are able to deepen and broaden their oral and written language skills supporting field-specific competence and are familiar with the cultural features of the target area, as well as their significance for international interaction. They are motivated to maintain and advance these language skills as part of their professional identity.

Content

Presentations, e.g. product/company presentations; terminology and concepts of the field; client contacts, counselling. Electronic communication, e.g. e-mail and phone; argumenting communication, e.g. comments, meetings and negotiations, problem situations and complaints; summaries, e.g. reports, memos.

Qualifications

Common European Framework of Reference, level B2-(C1), see the intranet / Language Centre, and common studies of the compulsory language

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
