Objective

The students know various production processes and methods of the bulk commodity industry, as well as their development methods (shortening span time, reducing work-in-process production, raising utilisation ratio, etc.)

Content

Manufacture methods of workshops: machining by chip removal, connecting and sheet metal work methods. Planning working phase chains and work methods.
Developing tool systems. The effect of materials on production processes. Developing the possibilities of component manufacture and product assembly. The automation of production processes as a competitive tool (NC/FMS/CIM). Interaction between design and manufacture, considering the significance of producibility and concurrent engineering (CAD/CAM/NC).
