Objective
The students understand the main thought models included in the concept of logistics. They know the principles of logistics operations and their connections to the management of a company, and the significance of logistics from the point of view of company operations and national economy. They have a profound view to the planning and management of modern logistics processes.
Content
The concept of logistics, logistics systems in companies, procurement, storage, terminal operations, transport, production control, materials handling systems and devices, logistics telematics, environmental logistics and environment systems, customer service, logistics management and quality systems, main regulations in transport, company visits. Assignment: analysis of a logistics process. + The theoretical part of lift truck course.
