Objective
The students have a holistic idea of the operation of a logistic chain, its control and the development of its elements. They are able to develop materials management and control production logistics from the perspective of their organization. After the project assignment, they can apply different analysis and design methods to the planning and development of the order-supply chain or demanding network structures.
Content
The lectures present the distribution network with regard to
- structural alternatives,
- basics of design,
- management, administration and development methods
- modelling and management of demand
- material flow dynamics
- tailored logistics
Qualifications
The basic principles of materials management from the perspectives of production, sourcing and distribution
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Excellent (5) – The student or the group has excellently applied theoretical knowledge to the examination of the target and actively participated in achieving the objective. The seminar presentation is consistent, clear, focuses on the essence, and the things analysed in the report are mastered very well. The independent assignments have been completed excellently.
o Good (3-4) – The student or the group has sufficiently applied theoretical knowledge to the examination of the target and actively participated in achieving the objective. The seminar presentation is clear, and the things analysed in the report are mastered sufficiently. The independent assignments have been completed at least adequately.
o Satisfactory (1-2) – The student or the group has applied theoretical knowledge to the examination of the target to a lesser degree, and aimed at achieving the objective in time. The seminar presentation is to some extent insufficient, and mastery of content is insufficient. The independent assignments have been completed adequately, at the most.
