Transport Technology (6cr)

Objective

The students know the cargo space solutions and cargo handling devices used in transportation, master the basics of cargo securing and vehicle sizing, being able to choose a justifiable road transportation unit for a transportation assignment and equip it with the necessary cargo space and auxiliary devices. The students also understand the technical background of their choices.

Content

Cargo spaces, handling devices, cargo securing, registering and inspection, vehicle sizing, energy consumption, alternative chassis component groups and their properties.

Basics of logistics, the operation of road transport, mechanics and strength of materials
