Objective
The students know how to express substance amount and concentration, can calculate substance amounts, their capacities or masses, and master the calculation of concentration. They understand the combustion process and can calculate the amount of fuel needed, the need for air, the volume of produced combustion gas or the mass of a component or the amount of produced energy. They know the basics of electrical chemistry and the operating principles of batteries or piles. They are aware of the danger of chemical exposure in their work environment and can handle hazardous substances adequately.

Composition of substances, periodic system, amount of substance, concentration of solutions, combustion, fuels, energy contents, electrochemical pairs and storing energy, hazardous substances, plastics
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of chemistry in compliance with the level of logistics tecnician, or equivalent knowledge
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Based on written exam, homework and lab reports
